About Us
Meet Kaysu, the heart and soul of KaysuCRAFT. Back in 1998, Kaysu landed in the Big Apple, fresh from Seoul. As she began exploring, she accidentally discovered her passion of crafting handbags through an unlikely visit to a bead shop. She began to work for accessory designers in New York City to gain skills and a keen eye for detail.
She took fashion classes at schools such as FIT and Parsons in NYC. Her workspace filled up with books on leather design, tools, and techniques. Kaysu's favorite place to explore different types and qualities of leather is her workshop, where she puts her hands to work, cutting and stitching every product by hand. To further expand her knowledge, she practiced skills like tooling, braiding, knotting leather, and even dabbled in materials like plarn to learn crocheting, beading, and macrame.
So, take a look around. I hope you might find something that brings a little joy to your life!
